Aftercare Instructions

Proper aftercare is essential for healing, reducing the risk of infection, and preserving the quality of your tattoo.

During the Healing Process

Avoid activities that may expose the tattoo to bacteria, irritation, or excessive moisture, including:

  • Avoid soaking the tattoo (no baths, swimming, or hot tubs)

  • Avoid recreational water activities

  • Avoid the sauna

  • Avoid the beach

  • Avoid sun exposure

  • Avoid gardening or exposure to dirt

  • Avoid contact with animals

  • Avoid excessive friction or tight clothing

Follow these restrictions until the tattoo is fully healed.

Aftercare with Derma Shield Bandage

  1. Keep the Bandage On

Leave the Derma Shield bandage in place for up to 4 days,, or as directed. This protective layer creates a barrier against bacteria, dirt, and friction.

  2. Monitor for Excess Fluid

It is normal for plasma and ink to collect under the bandage. If the bandage begins to leak, peel excessively, or becomes compromised, contact your tattoo artist for guidance.

  3. Avoid Touching or Adjusting

Do not pull at or reposition the bandage unnecessarily.
